The humain brain is not only one of the most important organs in the human body ; it’s also the most complex .

The brain is divided to four major sections known as lobes : the frontal lobe , the occipital lobe , the parietal lobe , the temporal lobe . They have different locations and functions that support the response and actions of the human body.

  • The frontal lobe  is located at the front of the brain and is associated with conscious thought , concentration , perseverance , judgement , attention span , impulse control-self monitoring and supervision , problem solving , organisation , critica and forward thinking , abiity to feel and express emotions , empathy , memory for habits and motor activities It involves also the ability to recognize future consequences , resulting from current actions . The choise between good and bad actions , the override and suppression of social unacceptabe responses , and the detremination of similarities and differences between things or events.

Damage to the frontal lobe can lead to changes in sexual habits, socialization, and attention as well as increased risk-taking.

  • The parietal lobe is located in the middle section of the brain and is associated with visual attention , touch perception , monitors sensation and body position , control reading , face recognition , understanding time , goal directed , voluntary movements , manipulation of objects.

  • The temporal lobe is located on the bottom section of the brain , it involves memory , and new learning , receives auditory messages , understands spoken language and rhythm , controls how things are ordered and categorized some visual perception .

Damage to the temporal lobe can lead to problems with memory, speech perception, and language skills.

  • The occipital lobe is located at the back portion of the brain and is associated with interpreting colour, shape , and distance , receiving also visual information.

Damage to this lobe can cause visual problems such as difficulty recognizing objects, an inability to identify colors, and trouble recognizing words.
